OMEGA-X Showcases Leadership at the BRIDGE General Assembly 2025

From March 25–26, 2025, the OMEGA-X project actively participated in the BRIDGE General Assembly in Brussels—an event that brought together over 100 key players from across Europe’s energy ecosystem to drive the transition from research to real-world deployment.

OMEGA-X took a leading role in the Assembly’s flagship session, the World Café with BRIDGE Projects, which highlighted mature projects with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). Participating in the “Advanced Digital Technologies” table—focused on data spaces, AI, and IoT—OMEGA-X shared key results from its pilot projects and contributed to dynamic exchanges with other initiatives. The project then presented the table’s main insights to the full Assembly, offering concrete ideas on how to bridge the gap between innovation and investment.

On the second day, discussions shifted to four dedicated BRIDGE working groups. OMEGA-X was actively engaged across all of them—Data Management, Business Models, Consumer & Citizen Engagement, and Regulation—contributing knowledge and experiences from its pilots. Its strong presence, particularly in the Data Management group, reaffirmed the project’s commitment to advancing digital infrastructure and interoperability in the European energy sector.

BRIDGE is a European Commission initiative that connects Horizon Europe and Horizon 2020 projects in the fields of smart grids, energy storage, islands, and digitalisation. Its goal is to foster collaboration, exchange best practices, and scale up innovative solutions to support the energy transition.

Through its ongoing engagement in platforms like BRIDGE, OMEGA-X continues to strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and help shape the future of the European energy landscape.
